Finding a venue that combines great quality food with a buzzing ambiance and local clientele is not an easy thing in Paris. The neo brasserie Manger does not only combine all of those attributes but also adds another very important one that is even harder to find: charity! Aiming to provide long term unemployed persons with a chance to re-integrate themselves into society by working in the restaurant business, Manger is somewhat unique in their philosophy but also in the experience it offers. While the modern and buzzing dining room is exactly what one would expect from a young and trendy spot and the menu features excellent contemporary French and Asian dishes; there is one surprise left: The chef’s menu. Manger offers a regularly changing surprise menu created by using recipes provided by famous French chefs such as Pierre Gagnaire, Anne Sophie Pic or Akram Benallal. And if all of that would not be enough 10 % of each bill goes to a foundation that is working on crafting more of such fantastic opportunities for those trying to get back into society – Chapeau!
